Strange as it may seem, but meat in French has absolutely nothing to do with France.
In addition, this recipe has a lot of fans all over the world, but it is called differently everywhere. The most important thing is that French-style meat is a very tasty dish, and when you eat it, you don’t even think about who, where and when it was invented.
Surely any housewife has her own “crown” dish. Which turns out to be the most delicious, and the whole family is looking forward to when it is ready and salivating in anticipation.
If suddenly someone else does not have their own “crown” dish, or someone just wants to learn how to cook a new dish for themselves, I will be happy to share a very simple, but at the same time original recipe.
Required ingredients:
500 grams Meat (pulp),
The meat is beef, but many prefer pork as it is softer.
3kg potatoes,
4 medium onions,
4 tomatoes,
250 grams of cheese.
Salt, pepper, mayonnaise, vegetable oil.
Meat, if it has been frozen, must be allowed to thaw. Then cut it into slices, beat well, salt, sprinkle with ground pepper.
Onion cut into half rings, medium thickness.
In a separate bowl, three cheese on a coarse grater.
Tomatoes cut into slices. Potato mode into slices, but not too large.
Meat in French is usually cooked on a sheet, some in a frying pan. Personally, I cook on a sheet. Before laying products on a sheet, it must first be lubricated with vegetable oil, you can also use foil. Then we put pieces of chop meat on it, lightly salt and pepper, put a layer of onion on each piece,
We lay the potatoes with the next layer, then lubricate with mayonnaise on top. On a layer of mayonnaise lay out circles of chopped tomatoes, salt. Many do not like baked tomatoes, so they can be omitted if desired.
Before putting the dish in the oven, it must be preheated. After the oven has warmed up, put the sheet for 1.5 hours. Bake on medium heat. 15 minutes before the readiness of our dish, sprinkle all the contents with grated cheese and pour over not a lot of mayonnaise. Then we wait until the cheese melts and lightly fries, forming a beautiful golden crust. After about 5 minutes, the dish can be pulled out of the oven and served. If desired, the dish can be decorated with herbs.
Meat in French can be eaten both hot and cold. In both cases, the taste of the dish will be delicious!
Enjoy your meal!
